Sant'Andrea is the loveliest seaside resort in the Municipality of Marciana. The access road runs through attractive, green surroundings, passing villas and gardens A sandy beach of about 200 metres and beautiful granite rocks meet the preferences of both families with children and those in search of quieter locations.
The lush natural surroundings and splendid stretch of sea off the bay of Sant'Andrea make this area one of the pearls of the PARCO NAZIONALE DELL'ARCIPELAGO TOSCANO.
Looking seawards, to the left of the sandy Sant'Andrea beach you will find the famous granite rocks, the Cote Piane. On the right, a path through the rocks provides a 15 minute walk to the smaller but charming sandy beach called Cotoncello. Walkers will find a wealth of trails to be enjoyed amidst the Island's fine natural environment and rich vegetation. Some of these routes actually start from Sant'Andrea; for example, one runs from the Cotoncello Point through Maciarello and La Cala to Marciana Marina. Others start from the town of Marciana and lead to lovely locations such as Madonna del Monte and then Chiessi or up Mount Capanne, the Island of Elba's highest point, 1019 metres above sea level, also accessible by cable car.
